Age:
16 - Turning 17 On The 3rd Of August
Hair Color:
Brown
Eye Color:
Brown
Play By:
Abigail Breslin
Brief Physical Description:
Millicent Bleu, or Milli as she prefers to be called, is quite a beautiful sight. She's of average height, maybe a tad bit taller, with an average frame. Milli isn't skinny, but she is most certainly not fat and probably won't ever be. A better description for her body is 'mature'. As for her face and it's features, she doesn't have, nor has she ever had acne. Milli's skin color is only slightly pale. Freckles are not an issue with Milli, as her face is very smooth and without any markings. Her eyes, perhaps the most beautiful feature about her, are bright, uncommon green. Long, curly brown hair cascades down her shoulders and back. Indeed, Milli is very beautiful.
Brief History:
This young girl was born to two very lucky District 13 parents, Terry and Ava Bleu. However, Millicent was not born alone. A twin accompanied her through the birth, which Ava hardly survived. Her sister, who would come to be nicknamed Mel, was nearly an exact copy of Milli, except with blonde hair. As helpless and innocent as the two babies were, they were clueless to the fact that they were born into the wrong family.
Ava Bleu was a complete freak. Not only was she mentally disabled, but she was a phsycsophrenic. Always, there was something wrong with something. Terry always awoke to find Ava throwing herself on the ground, screaming about being on fire, or she would be swatting at an invisible spider. Always, it was hectic when it came to being with Ava. As for Terry, he was just a normal, hard-working guy. Nobody's entirely sure how Terry ended up with Ava, considering he could've possibly had any girl in District 13. For his entire life, Terry was nothing but honest. He worked diligently and was kind to everybody, even the Peacekeepers. Unfortunately (but fortunately), he fell in love with Ava.
Millicent and Melanda had a tough time growing up. Their father was always at work, even on the weekends. Getting to see him became more and more rare as the twins grew and he raised ranks within his job. When they were about 5 years old, they only saw their father roughly once every week. He did come home, though, even if it be at 2 AM. On days they felt like it, Milli and Mel stayed up all night until he came home, without Ava's permission. It wasn't just painful for the girls, however. It became more painful for Terry himself - watching his girls grow up without him even being there.
Ava was a whole 'nother story. She was always seeing things that were never there, which scared both of the girls beyond belif. One day when they were 4 years old, they came in to show their mother a caterpillar they had found outside and they had found her ripping at her face, screaming words they couldn't understand. Milli and Mel had disappeared into their room they shared and hadn't come out until their father returned home. Ava didn't know she did anything wrong half the time, and often had tried to come into their room and comfort them, only to scare them even more. As they grew older, they grew less afraid of her and more annoyed with her. When they were about 9 years old and had wanted to go outside and play, Ava had screamed "no" at them because she had developed a phobia of Peacekeepers.
Growing up without a father figure and a fear of their mother scarred the girls badly. Often, they found themselves crying and clinging onto each other. As they grew older, they spent more time away from home - away from Ava. The time they were away was the only freedom from their mother they had, so they enjoyed it very much. Millicent and Melanda learned things together, just as they had lived the rest of their lives - together. By the time they were 12, they were inseperatable.
As they turned into teens, crossing the age of 13, they barely saw their father, who had been ripped apart. Terry had the pressure of a mentally disabled, phsycsophrenic wife and two beautiful girls he hadn't got to watch grow up. Every once and a while, he would take the girls shopping with whatever money they had. Milli grew a close bond with her father, as did Mel. By the time they were 15, they had secret places to hide within the house, and outside of the house. They snuck out and away from Ava constantly. Their relationship with Ava was terrible by now. The two didn't even have enough love for her to call her mother, but instead called her Ava... To her face, that is. Away from Ava, they called her cruel names. Not much guilt came to either of them because their mother proved to be a very weird, very scary person.
Now, at the age of 16 and going on 17 in August, the girls spend almost all their time away from home. They make their own money by selling things their mother forgets about and doesn't ever need. Having to practically raise themselves gave the girls a sense of strength and independence, so they are well fed and strong. The only times they return home is to eat their meals they collect on their own and to see their father. Milli and Mel's relationship with Terry is strong, while their relationship with Ava is weak. They were really born into the wrong family.
Occupation:
no official occupations
General Personality:
Millicent is quite strange, indeed. The first impression of the girl is a sweet, innocent teenager. Partly, that is true. Upon approaching her, typically she will give a gentle hello and a kind remark. She takes this after her father, who was a kind man. If the person is liked by Milli, they will get all her niceness, as sweet as sugar. However, if they happen to make enemies with Milli, they may not be happy with the results.
Milli also has a lot of spice. She can be as fierce and fiesty as a snake. A quick-witted, smooth tongue can make her remarks horribly terrible and very cruel. The 16 year old can make practically anyone cry, even though she'd never cry herself. This part is a bit after her mother, who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and be a little bit fiesty.
Milli also has neutral traits, however, such as refusing to cry. When she was about 7, it was decided that she wouldn't cry anymore, because she was a 'big girl'. No matter what happens, no matter how hard Mel is crying, Milli won't let a tear slip from her eyes. Millicent is very strong, with armadillo tough skin that won't let any words hurt her. She'll tolerate any kind of pain, mental or physical, if she has to. Also, her quick wits makes her a wonderful negotiator and she can often work out deals with people.
Strengths:
Personality-Wise
Strong - Millicent is always strong. Whether she needs to tolerate pain, mental or physical, for some reason or whether she needs to get some food on the table, she'll always be strong and diligent. This strength was developed as she was a child and growing up and will always be a strength.
Quick-Witted - Whether Milli needs to throw remarks at an opponent or whether she needs to negotiate something with another person, this strength will always be handy. Millicent always knows what to say very quickly, and it's very useful in certain situations. This strength developed as she crossed the age of 13 and became an official teenager.
Activity-Wise
Negotiating - When Mel and Milli are trying to sell something, Milli is always the one to speak. Because of her quick wits, she can get almost anybody to buy whatever it is they are interested in, even if it means lowering the price just a tad. This trait puts food on the table and is very admirable to Mel.
Running - While Mel is a superstar at climbing, Milli can escape almost anything with her quickness. Not really a very useful trait, as far as Milli is concerned, but at least it's something she can do. She always won the races in her shabby school at recess.
Weaknesses:
Personality-Wise
Emotion-Holder - Milli doesn't cry and she doesn't show when she's sad or depressed. It can seem like an awesome trait at times, when it is indeed useful, but it's really a weakness. When Milli holds it all it, she can find herself preforming actions terribly, simply because she's off her A-Game.
Judgemental - Millicent often finds herself judging people before she gets to know them. This more often than not results in her snapping at people simply because they look like they're mentally insulting Mel or something. This trait comes from her mother, and Milli considers it her 'little bit of phsycsophrenia'. The young girl tries to avoid it at much as possible.
Activity-Wise
Climbing - Though climbing seems useless, Milli finds it very discouraging she can't climb, simply because Mel is an awesome climber. Every time Milli tried to climb as a kid, she ended up falling and nearly breaking something. Milli can not climb.
Lieing - As good a negotiator as Milli is, she can't tell a lie. When they would come home as kids and Ava questioned them where they went, Milli would try and make up an excuse and would often get nearly beaten for it. Mel is an excellent liar, but Milli simply can not tell a convincing lie.
Alliance:
Neutral, but soon to be rebellion
Role Playing Sample:
Milli And Mel -- Age 4
"It's beautiful!" squealed Melanda Bleu, bending her short body over to get a closer look at the insect beneath her. Her shoulder length blonde hair fell across her shoulders and her bright green eyes were serious as she inspected the bug.
"What's beautiful, Mel? Show me!" came a similar voice. Millicent Bleu, Mel's twin, was shouting from a little bit aways. The young girl, who had shoulder length, curly brown hair and emerald green eyes matching her sister's, took off in the direction of Mel's voice.
As quick as Milli's short, 4 year old legs would take her, Milli ran towards Mel, and reached her quickly. Instantly, Milli bent down like Mel was and stared at what her sister was making such a big deal about. Beneath Melanda was a beautiful caterpillar. The insect was about 2 inches long, and very fat. For a moment, Milli fought the urge to reach out and poke it. The caterpillar was colored the traditional green, though it was lighter than Milli and Mel's eyes, and marked with a darker green and red. In the twin's opinions, it was beautiful.
"We should go show mommy." Milli suggested quietly, putting her small finger in front of the caterpillar. With some luck, it would climb onto her finger so she wouldn't have to snatch it up rather unpleasantly. "Maybe it'd make her happy."
But Milli and Mel both knew it wouldn't make her happy. Their mother was... different. She saw things and was slow when it came to academics. The twins called her special. They'd once considered that she was a magical wizard, because she could see all those things that weren't really there. But, they knew she wasn't a magical wizard, because they were scared of her. Most people called her phsycsophrenic and mental, but the twins didn't even know what that meant.
"Well, that sounds alright, but what if momma's unhappy?" Mel suggested quietly, shy like she usually was. The only person Mel wasn't shy around was her twin, Milli, and her father. Milli's bright green eyes moved to stare at Mel's face, and what she found was a disappointed Mel.
"Come on, it'll be alright. We'll show her... together."
[/i] Milli let her tiny pink lips curve into a smile. Slowly, her hand slid outwards in front of her. Hesitantly, Mel reached her hand up too and the two hands clutched together.Millicent Bleu, or Milli as she prefers to be called, is quite a beautiful sight.
