Brief Physical Description:
Melanda Bleu, or Mel as she prefers to be called, is practically identical to her twin, Milli, and is quite a beautiful sight. She's of average height, maybe a tad bit taller, with an average frame. Mel isn't skinny, but she is most certainly not fat and probably won't ever be. A better description for her body is 'mature'. As for her face and it's features, she doesn't have, nor has she ever had acne. Mel's skin color is only slightly pale. Freckles are not an issue with Mel, as her face is very smooth and without any markings. Her eyes, perhaps the most beautiful feature about her, are bright, uncommon green. Long, straight blonde hair cascades down her shoulders and back. Indeed, Mel is very beautiful
Brief History:
This young girl was born to two very lucky District 13 parents, Terry and Ava Bleu. However, Melanda was not born alone. A twin accompanied her through the birth, which Ava hardly survived. Her sister, who would come to be nicknamed Milli, was nearly an exact copy of Mel, except with brown, curly hair. As helpless and innocent as the two babies were, they were clueless to the fact that they were born into the wrong family.
Ava Bleu was a complete freak. Not only was she mentally disabled, but she was a phsycsophrenic. Always, there was something wrong with something. Terry always awoke to find Ava throwing herself on the ground, screaming about being on fire, or she would be swatting at an invisible spider. Always, it was hectic when it came to being with Ava. As for Terry, he was just a normal, hard-working guy. Nobody's entirely sure how Terry ended up with Ava, considering he could've possibly had any girl in District 13. For his entire life, Terry was nothing but honest. He worked diligently and was kind to everybody, even the Peacekeepers. Unfortunately (but fortunately), he fell in love with Ava.
Millicent and Melanda had a tough time growing up. Their father was always at work, even on the weekends. Getting to see him became more and more rare as the twins grew and he raised ranks within his job. When they were about 5 years old, they only saw their father roughly once every week. He did come home, though, even if it be at 2 AM. On days they felt like it, Milli and Mel stayed up all night until he came home, without Ava's permission. It wasn't just painful for the girls, however. It became more painful for Terry himself - watching his girls grow up without him even being there.
Ava was a whole 'nother story. She was always seeing things that were never there, which scared both of the girls beyond belif. One day when they were 4 years old, they came in to show their mother a caterpillar they had found outside and they had found her ripping at her face, screaming words they couldn't understand. Milli and Mel had disappeared into their room they shared and hadn't come out until their father returned home. Ava didn't know she did anything wrong half the time, and often had tried to come into their room and comfort them, only to scare them even more. As they grew older, they grew less afraid of her and more annoyed with her. When they were about 9 years old and had wanted to go outside and play, Ava had screamed "no" at them because she had developed a phobia of the outside world.
Growing up without a father figure and a fear of their mother scarred the girls badly. Often, they found themselves crying and clinging onto each other. As they grew older, they spent more time away from home - away from Ava. The time they were away was the only freedom from their mother they had, so they enjoyed it very much. Millicent and Melanda learned things together, just as they had lived the rest of their lives - together. By the time they were 12, they were inseperatable.
As they turned into teens, crossing the age of 13, they barely saw their father, who had been ripped apart. Terry had the pressure of a mentally disabled, phsycsophrenic wife and two beautiful girls he hadn't got to watch grow up. Every once and a while, he would take the girls shopping with whatever money they had. Mel grew a close bond with her father, as did Milli. By the time they were 15, they had secret places to hide within the house, and outside of the house. They snuck out and away from Ava constantly. Their relationship with Ava was terrible by now. The two didn't even have enough love for her to call her mother, but instead called her Ava... To her face, that is. Away from Ava, they called her cruel names. Not much guilt came to either of them because their mother proved to be a very weird, very scary person.
Now, at the age of 16 and going on 17 in August, the girls spend almost all their time away from home. They make their own money by selling things their mother forgets about and doesn't ever need. Having to practically raise themselves gave the girls a sense of strength and independence, so they are well fed and strong. The only times they return home is to eat their meals they collect on their own and to see their father. Milli and Mel's relationship with Terry is strong, while their relationship with Ava is weak. They were really born into the wrong family.
Occupation:
no official occupation
General Personality:
Mel is very much so different from Millicent when it comes to her personality. While Milli can be loud and rambunctious, Mel is quiet and shy. When Millicent is tough and sticks up for herself (and Mel), Mel is silent. Twins can't be exactly alike, or else the world would just be weird.
Upon first approach, Mel seems like a very sweet, polite girl. That part is very true. Mel won't insult anybody (except for her mother) because it's flat out rude. This trait she takes proudly from her father. Sweetness is as common as air when it coes to Mel, as she doesn't have anything but nice things to say. Neither will Mel lie, unless she has to.
But, there's not much to Mel. She's as quiet as a turtle and as shy as one, too. She'll talk and be real polite about it too, but she won't talk much and it's not uncommon for her to just go away. The only person Mel is really open with is her sister, Milli, and her father.
Also unlike Milli, Mel isn't afraid to cry. She'll cry her eyes out and Milli knows it. A lot of the times, Mel will get scared and cry, and Milli is the one holding her and comforting her. Mel, like her mother, fears lots of things, and the Peacekeepers are one of them. Therefore, again unlike Milli, she will stay loyal to the Capital when the time comes for her to choose.
Strengths:
Personality-Wise
Lets Emotions Escape - There's no secrets when it comes to Mel's emotions. When she's sad, she'll cry. When she's mad, she'll yell. When she's happy, she'll smile. While Milli holds it all in, Mel lets it all escape. Mel sees this as a strength because it always keeps her on her A-Game.
Cautious - Mel is always cautious, even when there's nothing to really be cautious about. Even though it's not really a bad thing, Mel thinks it's kind of embarassing when being cautious is a strength. However, she doesn't see that her cautiousness is the reason her and Milli stay out of trouble.
Activity-Wise
Climbing - Climbing, in Mel's opinion, is the coolest thing. Being way up high in the trees and watching everything from a distance is absolutely breath taking. Though it's not super-duper handy, Mel loves climbing and she can do it very well.
Lying - Mel hates lying, just flat out hates it. However, when Mel and Milli were only children and snuck away constantly, they needed an excuse for their mother when they returned. Milli couldn't tell a lie, so Mel did all the lying. It can be a handy trait and even though she isn't nessisarily proud of it, she'll take it.
Weaknesses:
Personality-Wise
Scared - Mel is absolutely scared of almost everything. She's shy and she's quiet, but she's also fearful. Anything new or out of the ordinary is automatically classified as scary in her book. Milli's the one to make all the decisions and keep them safe, because in all honesty, Mel's the weak one.
Weak - Mel is weak, mentally and a tad bit physically. She can't take insults very well, she can't hide her emotions like Milli does, she can't fight like a champ, she can't do any of that superhero stuff. She's just Mel - scared, cautious, weak - and she's very ashamed of it.
Activity-Wise
Running - Almost always when Mel tries to run super fast, she falls flat on her face. When it comes to running, Mel's a total klutz. Always, Mel had to jealously watch as Milli beat everyone at the races at their shabby elementary school. It's not really a useful trait, but Mel would sure as heck love to have it.
Negotiating - Mel can lie, but she can't negotiate anything. Usually, she just scares the person away because she doesn't know what to say and it makes her look unprofessional. Or, she sets the starting bid way too high and they leave right off the bat. When it comes to negotiating, that's all Milli. Mel can't negotiate.
Alliance:
